The group of “Aeroflot” will have to change its strategy if the government decide on the sale of airline “Russia”, told reporters the head of the Board of Directors of Aeroflot Kirill Androsov on the sidelines of the conference savings “into the future: the role and place of Russia”. It is reported by Interfax.
“This offer (to sell “Russia” – if) at the official level of the Board of Directors was not discussed, but my personal point of view – at “Aeroflot” there is a strategy approved by the Board of Directors, and the airline “Russia” as the regional carrier is paid a very large place, – said Androsov. And if our main shareholder – the state – decides to withdraw the “Russian” of “Aeroflot”, we have to change our whole strategy. To date, the sale of airline “Russia” is contrary to strategy of “Aeroflot”.
As reported, in October the Ministry of transport of the Russian Federation on behalf of the Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich, has prepared proposals for the sale of airline “Russia” and sent them to the government. The details of these proposals publicly voiced. Last Tuesday, Minister of transport Maxim Sokolov told journalists that their discussion continues in the government, the result will not fail.
“Russia” works in the middle segment, which is based on three regional carriers of group “Aeroflot”, “Russia” and “Donavia” and “Orenburg airlines”. Based in Saint-Petersburg with branches in Moscow, Rostov-on-don and Orenburg. Aeroflot controls 75% minus 1 share of “Russia” blocking stake – the administration of St. Petersburg. In addition to “Russia” in the group “Aeroflot” is the eponymous flag carrier operating in the premium segment and low-cost “Victory”.
