Air Astana will soon provide the documents necessary for the investigation, which commenced in respect of the airline to determine the validity of growth rates in some areas, said Tuesday Minister of national economy of Kazakhstan Kuandyk Bishimbayev, reports RIA Novosti.
Earlier, the press service of the Ministry of national economy reported that the Antimonopoly authority of Kazakhstan has filed three administrative proceedings against the largest national airline Air Astana in connection with the investigation to determine monopolistically high prices for airfreight services. The antitrust authority sent to air carrier three requests for providing the required information and documents. The airline, however these requests were ignored or replied in full. Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev instructed to complete the investigation in respect of the airline Air Astana.
“We had a meeting with the management of the Fund “Samruk-Kazyna” were representatives of the airline Air Astana. We agreed that in the near future all the documents will be presented to us, we will take a decision,” — said Bishimbayev at a press conference following the meeting of the government.
In turn, the head of the Antimonopoly Committee Serik Zhumangarin noted that it reached “certain agreements with the company”.
“Today we sent a request… where he sought those documents in the accounting policies of the airline are present. The airline has five days to provide, upon receipt we will make decisions, compare prices, considered”, — he said.
