Centre for air traffic, which will perform the functions of the state Inspectorate for traffic safety in the sky, will open in Tyumen in late 2017 and will provide jobs for over 350 people, reported RIA Novosti employee of the press service of the Governor.

“The centre will operate without interruption 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It will cover airspace not only of the Tyumen region, but also the territory over the Arctic ocean, will also see part of the sky in Krasnoyarsk region, the Novosibirsk region and the regions of the Urals. The building will be equipped with modern equipment and create a fitness training center managers,” — said the Agency interlocutor.
He noted that the government of the Tyumen region pays considerable attention to the development of the aviation industry. In 2016 is the reconstruction of the airport “Roshchino”, currently the region is working to expand air service and to increase capacity for the airport to receive aircrafts of all types.
“It is important to purposefully develop the interregional air transportation. The Federal government made concrete steps to support it. The first year is subsidized by a number of areas, which naturally aroused the interest of the carriers. In the Tyumen region in this program are three of the airline. Including due to this marked increase in interregional transport,” said the head of the region Vladimir Yakushev.
The Governor instructed the city administration and the main Department of construction of the Tyumen region to allocate funds for repair of street of Sergey Ilyushin, which connects the airport “Roshchino” the construction of a centre for air traffic management. Work is scheduled to complete in 2017.
