JSC “Helicopters of Russia” in the framework of the exhibition China Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition 2016, which is in Zhuhai (China), has signed a contract with Wuhan Rand Aviation Technology Service Co. Ltd. for the supply of helicopters Mi-171, Ka-32, Ansat. Their signatures under the document was signed by Deputy General Director of the holding “Russian Helicopters” marketing and business development Shcherbinin and President of Wuhan Rand Aviation Technology Service Co. According to the contract, Wuhan Rand Aviation Technology Service ordered 2 light helicopter Ansat medical equipment, and 2 helicopters Mi-171 and 1 Ka-32 with option for another 13 cars (3 Ka-32, 4 Mi-171 and 6 Ansarov). The first cars will be delivered in 2017. Just before the end of 2018, the holding company “Helicopters of Russia” plans to supply Wuhan Rand Aviation Technology Service 18 helicopters.
“China is one of the oldest exploitants Russian helicopters and our reliable partner. With the company Wuhan Rand Aviation Technology Service, we cooperate for the first time and hope that our cooperation will be long and fruitful”, – said Deputy General Director of holding “Helicopters of Russia” Alexander Scherbinin.
Helicopters Ka-32 for several years operated in China as fire and rescue. Made of the coaxial scheme, this helicopter is considered one of the best to deal with difficult fires in the city. Therefore, it is well established in China’s mountainous regions and modern cities.
The Mi-171 also long been used throughout China for the transportation and evacuation of people from areas of natural disasters, as well as for transportation of various cargoes, including medicines, humanitarian aid and construction materials.
The Ansat will be used for medevac purposes and comes to China for the first time.
