Last year, in honor of the 70th anniversary of Victory, on the concrete fence of the Perm motors have unusual graffiti. Life-size was a picture of almost all aircraft, which during the great Patriotic war was the engines produced by the Perm factory № 19 named after Stalin. It is reported by JSC “UEC – Perm motors”.
This summer, on numerous requests of the public was continued. He drew air Museum under the open sky, which seamlessly complements the recently opened after the reconstruction the Museum of Perm engine building.
Sergey Popov, managing Director of JSC “UEC-Perm motors”, the idea of creating a Museum under the open sky: “We started writing this story in 2015, the year of the 70th anniversary of Victory in the great Patriotic war. And this year we were supported by enterprise-neighbors is “aircraft engine”, “reductor-PM, proton-PM” and I am very grateful to them for that. As a result, now on the fence you can see not only airplanes, but helicopters, missiles and all types of aircraft, engines and gearboxes, created by the Perm engine builders. I am glad that in our city there was such a bright beautiful place.”
Vladimir Ivashkevich, the author of the project: “Almost kilometer length was small for all winged machines, which were equipped with Perm engines. Exhibits for our air Museum under the open sky was chosen on the basis of the role they played in aviation history and in the fate of the plant”.
I also want to note the peculiarity of the second stage of our project: factory builders conducted a thorough preliminary training of the fence. All along I had to cut the top layer of concrete impregnated many layers of old paint. Leveled the ground in front of the fence, lowered the level of the ground, replaced the worn out upper platen. Everything was done in order to provide more surface for the image, because the technique was drawn of the natural size.
Alex Mihalev, the artist project: “For me every project is interesting, because I before realization of the study, are being familiarized with the subject. In this case, the photorealism is our path, we combine creativity, on the one hand, and factual accuracy on the other. This fence definitely will be among the projects that will be remembered for a lifetime, I want to be proud of and talk about them to their children.”
The total length of the art object 990 meters (about 3000 sqm). Used about a ton of paint, 1243 cans of spray paint. Shown in natural size: 19 aircraft, 5 helicopters, 4 engines, 2 gear, 2 missiles.
