Thursday had a telephone conversation Lukashenko and Poroshenko. “Petro Poroshenko apologized for the incident with civil aircraft of the airline “Belavia” and informed the President of Belarus that the guilty are punished,” – said the press service.

The aircraft of the airline “Belavia” returned to airport “Zhulyany” (Kiev) in the afternoon of October 21. Later it became known that this happened at the request of the security Service of Ukraine.

The next day the charge d’affaires of Ukraine in Minsk Valery dzhigun was summoned to the Belarusian foreign Ministry. He was handed a note of protest in connection with the actions of the SBU. It was stressed that “the Belarusian side expects an official apology and requires recovery of all financial costs and expenses caused by the actions of the Ukrainian side.”

The Belarusian airline has also announced its intention to require SE “UkSATSE” reimbursement of costs associated with the return of the aircraft to the international airport “Zhulyany”. On 1 November the Belarusian side has published decoding of negotiations of crew of “Belavia” with the Ukrainian air traffic controller. It follows from this that pilots have warned that in case of failure to return to Kyiv in the air will be raised combat aircraft.

SBU dispatch called fiction. “We have no indications as fighters were not given and could not give. This is absurd. At the same time, we read the transcripts. We were not present at the negotiations, and I can’t sign in “UkSATSE”. It is possible that the human factor has worked, and this is fiction, people overdid it,” – said the press service of the SBU.
