A world leader in the manufacturing of turboprop aircraft, the ATR company and airlines PNG Air of Papua New Guinea signed a binding agreement for the purchase of 5 ATR 72-600 aircraft catalog value of $134 million this reports the press service of the ATR.
“Thus, the agreement translates into a firm contract portion of the option with one of the previous transactions on acquisition of aircraft ATR. Recall that in 2014, the PNG Air (at that time it was called Airlines of PNG) have signed a contract for 6 ATR 72-600 aircraft with an option for another 14 vehicles. The first ATR 72-600 under this contract, the airline received in November 2015”, – said in the ATR.
At the moment PNG Air operates a fleet of 4 ATR 72-600 to the end of the year will receive an additional 1 aircraft.
