According to operative data, the volume of air passengers in October 2016 exceeded the same indicator of last year by 4% and amounted to almost 7.8 million passengers. In October 2015, the airline served to 7.4 million passengers. It is reported by the Federal air transport Agency.
Growth of passenger turnover in the current year is fixed at 2.4% 18,137 billion passenger-kilometers in October last year to 18,572 billion passenger-kilometers in October of this year. The percentage of employment factor increased by 0.8 percentage points – from 78% in October 2015 to 78.8% in the same month of 2016.
“The growth in passenger traffic in October 2016, compared to the same period last year, the top five airlines – Aeroflot, Siberia, Russia, UTair and Ural airlines – amounted to 35.3%. So, Aeroflot served in October, more than 2.6 million passengers (+11,2%); Siberia almost 795 thousand passengers (+9.8 per cent); Russia 755,6 million passengers (+113); UTair 593,5 thousand (+28,1%); Ural airlines almost 550 thousand (+14.5 per cent). Overall growth for 35 airlines serving more than 99% of all passenger traffic amounted to 15%,” – said the Agency.
