The Ministry has given “to Aeroflot” the most “delicious and interesting” international routes “Transaero”, the Federal Antimonopoly service of the Russian Federation dissatisfied, said the head of FAS Igor Artemyev. About it writes RIA Novosti.
In late October, the Interdepartmental Commission of the Ministry of transport of the Russian Federation prolonged until the end of March 2017, “Aeroflot” and its affiliated airline “Russia” tolerances on 37 international routes previously received from “Transaero”.
“All the same as last year. This is a classic version of industry leadership,” — said Artemyev, commenting on the fact that Aeroflot were transferred to 37 international routes “Transaero”.
“Not wanting absolutely nothing to listen to, the Ministry of transport takes and extends, giving into the hands of the biggest company, the most delicious and interesting routes. But why not support at least part of routes of the second, third carrier to increase competition?”, — said the head of FAS.
“In the current economy this is precisely the fit between the two chairs. And you end up doing, we just may soon lose this market, its structure. There will be one “Aeroflot” and what are we going to do with you?”, — said Artemyev. “Of course, we are not happy with (decision of Federal air transport Agency — ed.)”, — he concluded.
The group of “Aeroflot” took the basic volume of passenger traffic of “Transaero”, which was not able to do it, and got the tolerances on 56 international routes of the airline. Later, the carrier refused 13 directions, because data frequency was excessive for the group.
