Since 2013, the average price for tickets only grew. This year the cost of flights for November holidays returned to pre-crisis levels, and more — renewed three-year lows.

Tour operator and online travel Agency Biletix analyzed the average bill for air travel in the period November holidays from 2013 to 2016. Thus, the cost of round-trip tickets to Russia for the period 1 to 7 November this year the average is 7 910 rubles, as against 9 326 rubles in the same period in 2013 (16% less).

Compared to 2015 average domestic destinations for November holidays fell by 24%. The cost of the tickets abroad compared to last year also decreased (from 17 325 roubles to 16 roubles 123), but still not dropped to pre-crisis 2013.

“The decrease in prices to pre-crisis level became possible thanks to the introduction of a flexible “low-cost”fares (without Luggage) most airlines. Despite the fact that this format is still unfamiliar to some part of the Russian travelers, this is one of the most effective ways to maintain tariffs at the same level”, — says the General Director of Biletix Alexander Sizintsev.

According to the statistics Agency, the most popular domestic flights for the upcoming holidays — Sochi, Simferopol, Mineralnye Vody, Krasnodar and St. Petersburg, among international destinations in popularity leading Tbilisi, Chisinau, Larnaca, Prague and tel Aviv. 61% of sales for the period falls on tickets on domestic routes and 39% international.
